The brains behind your campaigns
From the beaches of Sydney to the fjords of Norway, we're hard at work helping designers and their clients get the most out of email marketing. Find out about the faces and places that make Campaign Monitor tick.
-
Adrian Lai — Tester
Alongside Trish and Pete, Adrian is the part of the testing trio that keeps Campaign Monitor running smoothly. Known to be lethal opponent when armed with a tennis racquet, Adrian applies a no-holds-barred approach to both smashing points on court and bugs in the app.
-
Ben Richardson — Founder and developer
Combining his development skills with Dave’s design, Ben is the brains behind the technology and reliability of Campaign Monitor. His competitiveness is legendary, to the point of coming in to the office while on holidays to defend his ping pong ranking.
-
Buzz Usborne — Designer
Designer, tea drinker and renaissance man, Buzz sure keeps himself busy. Not only does he add a certain flair and polish to Campaign Monitor, but after-hours, he also runs Prevue, a concept app for designers. When not taming pixels, Buzz can be found running with the spirit of the wind across Bondi Beach.

Cameron Newman — Systems Administrator
Joining Scott in the sys admin basement is Cameron, who won over the team by somehow reconciling good looks and a love of the great outdoors with life as a hardcore Unix coder. Despite this, Cameron is not only a real person, but he also does a great job of keeping Campaign Monitor live on the air.
-
Carissa Phillips — Customer Support
Making the transition from a successful Campaign Monitor customer to a new team member, Carissa has a unique and helpful perspective when dealing with our customers. No matter how hot it gets in Arizona, Carissa keeps her cool.
-
Dave Hore — Developer
With years of development experience in a number of languages, our most recent ‘Dave’ brings a lot of skill to the Campaign Monitor team, if not a terribly unique first name. Apart from development, Dave is a wicked chess player, and if they ever invent ping-pong-chess he’ll be world champion.
-
David Greiner — Founder and designer
As the co-founder of Campaign Monitor along with Ben, Dave leads our growing design team and is the responsible for making sure our software is always a pleasure to use.

Davida Fernandez — Customer support
Davida is based outside of Portland, Oregon, and helps designers get the best out of Campaign Monitor in a consistently friendly way. In her spare time Davida (that’s with an ‘a’, not David!) creates some fantastic art from glass, which you can see on her Innagadda Glass site.

Diana Potter — Customer support team leader (Northern hemisphere)
Based in the US, Diana was our first international team member, and has built up quite a customer fan base through her fast and comprehensive help. Some say she is able to answer questions even before they are actually asked. The truth is out there.

Greg Strutton — Customer Support
Greg brings a ton of technical experience to his role in the support team, thanks to years of setting up and maintaining mail servers. Add to that his email marketing knowledge, and guitar skills, and Greg’s what we like to call ‘the complete package’.
-
James Dennes — Developer
James has made an immediate impact on Campaign Monitor since joining us as a developer. With broad experience in various languages and techniques James has become an important part of the team, not to mention being the 2009 year-end number one in the ping pong rankings, an impressive feat.
-
Jarrod Taylor — Customer support
Answering questions and helping designers get more done with Campaign Monitor is just part of Jarrod’s contributions. He’s also responsible for the design of our latest Campaign Monitor shirts, and you can see more of his work over at yedmart.

Jason Hickey — Senior Developer
As Freshview’s very first employee and lead developer, Jason knows everything there is to know about the insides of Campaign Monitor. Outside of the office you’ll find Jason watching American football or playing a round of Big Buck Hunter at his local bar.
-
JD DeSantis — Customer support
Providing quality support from outside of Portland, JD is the third of our US based support team. A mechanics background makes him significantly more practically helpful offline than most of us and he’s definitely the only support team member you would trust to fix your car.
-
Jesse Dodds — Designer
Before joining the team, Jesse has already developed a reputation for his excellent user interface and icon work which will be put to good use all over Campaign Monitor. We weren’t quite as aware of his audiophile interests, but we sure are now!

Karen Clark — Office manager
Karen runs the Campaign Monitor office: Keeping the Campaign Monitor books, making sure the office is stocked up with food and of course making sure designers get their markup payments each month. She’s also the driving force behind our “Friday Fun” events.
-
Ken Nguyen — Developer
Coming to us from work in education and health informatics and even robot soccer, Ken provides a range of development skills. Rumors persist that he is also a ninja, but there is no hard evidence to be found.
-
Mark Langsworth — Developer
Egging on our obsession with sport is Mark, who’s determination to be awesome at everything from snowboarding to ultimate frisbee is matched squarely by his ability to cut darn fine code. Mark’s preferred attire of mountaineering gear matched with sensible sweaters lends a gentlemanly essentia to the team.
@mlangsworth

Mathew Patterson — Head of Customer Support
Coming from a web design background, Mat is well positioned to help designers get the most out of Campaign Monitor, and make sure it meets their needs. With only one ‘t’ in Mathew, he is also well positioned in vanity search results.

Matthew Farag — Designer
Elbows-deep in pixels and code from Day 1, Matt has contributed considerably to the look and feel of the Campaign Monitor UI. If a rather staggering background in psychology and love of purposeful design wasn’t enough, simply peek at his application to understand why we invited him on board in a snap.

-
Peter Bartlett — Tester
Pete first joined the team as an intern, working on Campaign Monitor as well as on our ping pong ranking system. He’s recently returned to the fold full time, joining Trish in the QA team. Pete is also inventor of “The Bartlett Technique”, an unstoppable one handed hamburger grip.
-
Phil Gilmore — Developer
Phil’s development work prior to joining Campaign Monitor involved large and dangerous industrial machinery, something rarely used in the sending of email campaigns. Phil also brings his wide general knowledge to every conceivable lunch time topic.
-
Ros Hodgekiss — Community Manager
If you’ve read our blog, newsletter or @campaignmonitor tweets you’ll know Ros’ name well. She’s a one-woman social whirlwind, keeping customers up to date with everything new and interesting about email and Campaign Monitor. A hipster at heart, Ros listens to bands that don’t even exist yet.

Scott Randall — Systems Administrator
Keeping Campaign Monitor up and running every day (and night) of the year is our enormously helpful sysadmin Scott. Most comfortable among the racks and cables of the server room, Scott is even now working on plans to add a George Constanza style desk bed during our office upgrades.
-
Stephen Jesson — Customer support
Stephen brought many skills to the team when he joined, including long experience in designing HTML emails and websites in Australia, the US and the UK, but it is his skill on the table tennis table that has fired up the rest of the team to lift their games.
-
Stig Morten Myre — Customer support
Stig (and yes, that is his real name!) is based right up in Norway, where he answers customer questions in English and sometimes in Norwegian. We first noticed Stig in our forums, where he was providing excellent answers for free, and snapped him up to join the team.

-
Toby Brain — Developer
Toby started at Campaign Monitor as an intern, but soon made himself an integral part of our development team and has contributed to many of the biggest updates Campaign Monitor has seen. Just don’t mention “Pinky and the Brain” to him ever again.
-
Trish Khoo — Tester
Trish is the person you can thank most for Campaign Monitor’s solid and increasing stability and reliability. Since joining the team Trish has made big quality improvements to both our testing processes and our baked goods (her ninja bread men were a standout).
